Produced by Takahisa Sugisaka, these single-and double-hand rods feature S-Glass blanks
SKU : TMC110104547120
After more than 50 years of experience using carbon graphite, glass fiber, composite, and bamboo fly rods, Takahisa Sugisaka selected S-Glass as the ideal material for his latest rods. S-Glass uniquely combines the flexibility characteristic of glass fibers with high elasticity, providing a rod that is lightweight, easy to cast, and resistant to losing fish once hooked.
As Sugisaka’s fishing style evolved with age—focusing on short- to mid-range fishing and a relaxed rhythm, often using barbless hooks—he sought rods with excellent follow-through and minimal fish loss. Based on his personal fishing life in Hokkaido, he developed three main S-Glass Glasmaster models, paying particular attention to the blank color: a bright yet subdued yellow that highlights the natural whiteness of S-Glass, carefully tuned by Sugisaka himself.
